At least 20 people were burnt alive on Friday in Imo State after an 18-seater bus conveying passengers from Orlu town to Owerri, the state capital, had a head on collusion with a petrol tanker.

Imo Police Arrest Man For Allegedly Defiling His 10-Year-Old Daughter

The police in Imo State have arrested a man, identified as Akarauwa Eke, for allegedly defiling his 10-year-old daughter. It was gathered that the victim, who is a primary three pupil at Baptist Nursery and Primary School, Ihiagwa, in the Owerri West Local Government Area of the state, had been living with her father, along with her siblings, since her mother died in 2013.

Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State on Thursday said that over 40,000 people have so far applied for teaching in public primary schools in the state. The governor made this statement, following the planned retrenchment of 21,780 primary school teachers alleged to have failed a competency test conducted by the state government.

Evil Guard Collects N3,000, Aids Assailant To Attack Family

A guard in the Isheri area of Lagos State has been arrested by the police for allegedly aiding an attack on a widow, Comfort Isong, and her daughter, Emmanuela Isong. The unnamed guard was said to have collected N3,000 from the masked attacker, who subsequently stormed the victims’ residence on Oluwakemi Street, Isheri Oke, around 2am. He was said to have stabbed Comfort and her daughter in different parts of the body and fled the scene.

A suspected ritualist, caught with seven human skulls exhumed from a cemetery, has urged the Police to hand him over to God for divine punishment, because that is what he would do if anyone had exhumed the remains of his parents or relations for ritual purpose. The suspect was among some suspected criminals paraded by the Kwara State Police Command yesterday, in Ilorin, the state capital.

An unhappy mother in China who wasn't pleased with her son's fiancée all because she is too short - took a step of disapproval to supposedly commit suicide after jumping into a river. The 47-year-old woman's body was found lifeless on November 17 in a river in Ningling County, Henan Province.

Today, I visited Kemi Olunloyo @hnnAfrica at the Port Harcourt Maximum Prisons. It was a touching moment. She has been incarcerated since October 12 2017 for Bench Warrant in what seemed to be a conspiracy by her former lawyer. She alleged that she had filed a request for absence in the court through her lawyer on health grounds only to discover that the letter was never submitted by her lawyer. In her words, her former lawyer was bought over by people who want to keep her continuously in detention.

Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Lagos State Command, have apprehended a professed pastor, Abraham Roland, for allegedly running a human trafficking camp in the Mowe area of Ogun State. The NSCDC said the pastor allegedly hypnotised his victims, who were mostly admission seekers and students at higher institutions in Lagos, and took them to the camp. He was also alleged to have sexually harassed some females among them.

Nigerian community in India has suggested that a Nigerian man whose body was found beside the railway tracks near Dapodi by officials of Government Railway Police (GRP) on October 23 was missing since October 16 and may have been murdered. Objections were also raised over the GRP’s disposal of the body, which was done on Monday without informing anybody, including the Foreigners’ Registration Office (FRO).
