The Lagos State Police Command on Wednesday paraded a self-confessed leader of the Eiye Confraternity, Ibrahim Balogun, aka Small Jpron, for allegedly killing five persons during different cult wars, including organising a gang which set a house ablaze in January 2016 on Oshinfolarin Street, Bariga, during which a 65-year-old woman, Adejoke Adefuye, was burnt to death. Punch gathered that Small Jpron was arrested after some suspected cultists attacked the area on Saturday and the suspect came out with his boys for a reprisal.
The Lagos state Police Command has arrested a father of two, who specializes in using social media platforms, particularly Facebook, to lure gullible ladies to hotels, where he sedates, rapes and dispossesses them of their valuables. According to Vanguard, the suspect, Oluwole Falaseye, 30, uses the pseudo-name Nipheme Ajanaku, and poses as an Abuja-based bank manager on Facebook. Falaseye quickly gets acquainted with his target victim, and after a while he organizes a meeting in a hotel in the Amuwo-Odofin area of Lagos state.

A teenager died of a heart attack two days after the cash her relatives had saved for her to go to university was stolen by a crook. Xu Yuyu, 18, was all set to be the first person in her family to go to college next month. A female police officer shot herself dead at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on Wednesday, August 24th. The victim, identified as Corporal Gaudencia Wausi Muinde is reported to have locked herself in the toilet, where she shot herself in the head using a pistol. "A loud bang was heard from the toilet where she had locked herself and that is where her lifeless body was found," a police officer at the airport told Capital FM News. "She went to the radio room where her male colleagues were and left her phone, baton and cap on the table. She walked out and went to the toilet, locked herself in and shot herself once in the head and died," a source told The Star.
A security guard, Uchenna Okoh, has been arrested for alleged theft of goods worth N2.1m at a shop on Ikotun-Idimu Road, Lagos State. The suspect had reportedly visited the shop – Finest Couture Boutique – on June 20 on the pretext that he wanted to buy jeans, shirts and shoes. While negotiating the prices of the items with the salesgirl, Juliet Aghedo, he was said to have lured her into a corner in the shop and squeezed her neck until she passed out.
