All is not well between Aisha Buhari, wife of President Muhammadu Buhari and stakeholders of the Kogi state chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC. A group of concern stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State on Friday has accused the wife of President, Mrs. Aisha Buhari of having a suspicious relationship with the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello which they claim is capable of compromising the ongoing petitions against the declaration of Bello as winner of last year’s governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The Kogi APC stakeholders, through their Coordinator, Chief Dare Mayegun, raised the alarm after information of a meeting between the wife of the president and the Kogi governor emerged. The duo were said to have sat together in the first class cabin for a lengthy discussion on the return flight from London.
“We are shocked to hear that Mrs Aisha Buhari and Alhaji Yahaya Bello sat together on the same flight from London to Abuja. They were on BA (British Airways) 082 which departed 22:40hrs on 7th April and arrived Abuja by 4.45hrs on the 8th of April. They departed at 2240hrs and arrived at 4.45hrs First Class cabin.”
“The new-found alliance needs much to be desired as it could compromise the tribunal sitting in which the governor is a party. We are raising this alarm to draw the attention of all lovers of democracy to the undercurrent that could truncate the wish of the electorate in Kogi State”
