The peaceful community of Sukrong-Bethlehem, Ghana has been thrown into mourning after a 63-year-old woman was beheaded in her farm. According to AdomOnline, Madam Cecilia Agbah was allegedly murdered and her head severed by a 35-year-old man, Odeifo Kobinah, who is currently in the grip of the police.
A family source who spoke about the matter revealed that Madam Agbah had gone to her farm to harvest some foodstuffs for the house. But, after waiting for too long without the woman returning, some of her children decided to follow up to the farm, only to find the headless body of Madam Agbah, with machete wounds all over the body.
The Asamankese District Police Commander, Superintendent of Police Mr Anane Appiah, confirmed the story and said after initial investigations, the suspect was arrested.
Appiah said that during interrogation, the suspect could not explain the motive for his action. He led the police to retrieve the severed head from a palm tree.
