Australian Senator Makes History As She Becomes The First Politician To Breastfeed In The Parliament (Photos)

Australian senator, Larissa Waters, has made history after she became the first politician to breastfeed a baby in the senate chamber. Larissa, a co-deputy leader for the Australian Greens party on Tuesday, returned to the Senate for the first time since giving birth to her baby girl, Alia Joy, earlier this year.

During a vote in the chamber, the 40-year-old proudly took off her bra and covered her breast with a white towel as she breastfed her baby girl in public.
Taking to her Facebook page, the excited mother wrote: 'I am so proud that my daughter Alia is the first baby to be breastfed in the federal parliament! And we need more family-friendly and flexible workplaces, and affordable childcare, for everyone'.
