One Feared Dead, Houses & Shops Burnt As Hausas And Igbos Clash In Plateau State


A man has been feared dead in Plteau state following a clash between Hausa and Igbo traders in Jos, the State capital. It was gathered that several people have been injured along Rwang Pam street, an area said to be dominated by Igbos, and Ahmadu Bello way. Police and other security officials have, however, arrived to calm the situation.

An eyewitness confirmed to DAILY POST that several houses and shops belonging to Igbo traders have been destroyed.

“I barely escaped with my life as we speak. I don’t event know where my parents are.

“Many Igbo boys have been injured. Tell the police to come to our aid,” he said
