Gov. Rochas Okorocha Erects Statue Of 10-Year-Old Boy Killed By Stray Bullet During Market Demolition In Owerri

The 10-year-old boy identified as Somto Ibeanusi, who was killed during the demolition of the Eke Ukwu market in Owerri, Imo state in August, has been honoured in Imo State. His State has been erected in Owerri by Governor Rochas Okorocha.

Somto was killed by a stray bullet when he went to his parent’s shop in the market to remove their goods whilst the demolition was going on. The traders in the market had tried to prevent the demolition and the security officers who were present fired some shots into the air, which led to the death of Somto.
